LA TIARA WANDERERS is led by Nkateko Pearl Mambana, whose personal journey is woven into every trip we design. Inspired by her late grandparents—travellers of note who explored numerous countries—Pearl grew up surrounded by stories of faraway places and the excitement of discovery. Alongside her grandparents, those tales were brought to life through small but meaningful excursions: a drive through the Kruger National Park, a winding journey along the Panorama Route, or even a simple visit to Wimpy and Spur. These moments ignited her awareness that there was always more to see out there, and it was in those experiences that her wandering heart truly began.
Her first solo trip—from Mpumalanga to Johannesburg for a concert, came about unexpectedly. When a friend opted out at the last minute, Pearl faced a choice: cancel the plan or embrace the adventure alone. She chose the latter, and that decision became the spark that ignited a global journey. Since then, Pearl has explored 16 countries, each one deepening her belief that the world is meant to be seen, experienced and shared.
Pearl’s goal is simple: to make travel easy and accessible for many. Through LA TIARA WANDERERS, she shares not just itineraries, but a philosophy—one that celebrates freedom, culture, and the joy of wandering.
